Behind the scenes, some photoshoots turn into little adventures. Like when I had to photograph two sisters who just started to make fresh ice cream at their dairy farm in Ter Aar…. Of course I could take some photos of these pretty girls in their ice salon. But I just couldn’t resist… there were these adorable calfs, a beautiful landscape, a field full of dairy cows…… and a sky full of clouds.. Let’s go outside girls! So Roos & Eline grabbed a calf, jumped on a quad and drove off to the perfect location.
Within minutes we were surrounded by fifty or more very inquisitive cows. That makes an impression on a city girl. These cows are big. And their heads are as hard as concrete. But they were very gentle and loved the girls, calf and the ice cream. Besides some nibbling on my clothes, hair and camera bag, no harm was done. When we left the meadow these big cows were dancing, as if they were released after a long winter indoors. A wonderful sight.
